BEHIND THE BEARD

Do you have an idea that needs to become a reality? Then you’re looking at the right person. I am a multi-platform designer and developer with a keen eye for the small stuff.

I grew up surrounded by digital media and was given the freedom to explore it as much as I wanted, as long as I stayed active of course. I spent years making fan sites for games and tv shows, shooting short films and taking thousands of pictures. The freedom I was given allowed me to grow as a creative person. In my teens I got into music recording and would spend my weekends playing in punk bands and recording demos to give away to friends. Flash forward several years and I was in a rut. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with myself, my career path was unclear.

Two years ago I took a good hard look at myself and realized that creating digital media was always what brought me joy, so why not make a career out of it? I enrolled in the New Media Production & Design program at SAIT and it was the best decision I could have made.

My skills as web designer, game developer and photographer flourished and I began to feel like I had really found my calling. Taking on web design as a specialization allowed me gain valuable knowledge in the areas of colour theory, typography and design principles. Using these skills I am able to create design languages for clients to better sell their products and ideas.
